Bushido Blade is the kind of fighting game for those people who think characters that can take multiple heavy blows and still be standing is too unrealistic.
Bushido Blade was released for the Playstation in 1997 and developed by Light Weight. When you first play the game, you may notice the lack of an on-screen health bar and timer. Bushido Blade foregoes the traditional mechanics of diminishing your opponent’s health to zero in an allotted time and instead solely focuses on delivering a single fatal blow. Fights end immediately once either you or your opponent manages to connect a direct hit while indirect hits only serve to incapacitate a fighter. These simple rules along with a simple control scheme make for a great party game among the ranks of other simple party fighters such as Dive Kick.
Bushido Blade is also available on PSN so you don’t need to find yourself a used copy to enjoy this game.
